2024 Election Information

Rancho Ventura Irrigation Water Delivery District Elections 

 

Per ARS 16-225(c) a Call of Election will be sent to the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors by 6/3/2024. 

Per ARS 16-312(B)(2), 10/11/2024 is the last day to file as a write-in candidate.

 

RVIWDD will file a notice to cancel the election if no paperwork has been filed with the County as noted below.

PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN to all qualified electors that an election has been called for the purpose of filling three (3) vacancies on the Board of Trustees created by the expiration of the current trustee's (2) year terms and will be held on November 20th, 2024. 

In order to vote in this election, a qualified elector must own real property located within the district's taxable boundaries at least 90 days prior to the election. Nomination petitions may be obtained from the Rancho Ventura Irrigation Water Delivery District by submitting a request by email to rviwdd@gmail.com or by written request delivered by USPS to Rancho Ventura Irrigation Water Delivery District, 4714 E. Cambridge Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85008.

In order for a person's name to appear on the ballot, nomination papers, limited to homeowners within the district, must be submitted by 5:00 pm July 23, 2024, via email to lori.medaris@maricopa.gov.  A nomination form is attached below.

Voters may, at the time of election, write in a candidate's name of their choosing who has not submitted a timely nomination petition, but who has submitted a nomination paper to the district address listed at least 40 days prior to the election.
